We are in search to employ a Part Time Maintenance Technician at our beautiful property in Palm Bay Florida. We are in search of someone with an outstanding knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance. As Maintenance Tech you will be expected to have fantastic organizational and time management skills. You will display natural leadership and possess fantastic communication skills with a great eye for detail.
The Maintenance technician is responsible for all maintenance operations of the community, including service requests, preventative maintenance, personnel management, compliance with safety standards, and customer service. The technician works alongside the Executive Director in ensuring the responsibility of overseeing the activities of assigned staff and vendors to ensure the maintenance of the property.
This position should display strong problem solving and decision-making skills with a solid understanding of building maintenance, repairs, refurbishments in an assisted living atmosphere. This candidate will be fantastic at building and equipment maintenance procedures and have extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect site regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
- Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
- Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
- Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
- Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience as a maintenance supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets deadlines.
- Computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related communication tools.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
