Job description
The award winning Grandover Resort & Conference Center is currently seeking an outgoing, professional, and energetic Resort Specialist. Reporting directly to the Resort Communications Director; Resort Specialist is responsible for the success of the Hospitality Communication, for ensuring guest satisfaction, and brand standards are met and for managing all areas of the Resort Communications Department to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service. Displays exemplary performance for staff to follow.
Other Key Duties Include
- Personally, demonstrates a commitment to guest services in responding promptly to guest needs
- Respond to guest needs, special requests and complaints; alert the appropriate manager to potential issues as needed
- Maintains a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management
- Ensures an effective flow of communication as well as providing assistance to the housekeeping department in order to prevent problems experienced by guests and drive guest satisfaction
- Monitoring and responding to resort radio traffic
- Assist other team members in various work assignments, including operating the complimentary shuttle vans and/or assisting with room inspections, or housekeeping duties
- Book spa services and understand spa policies
- Book golf tee times and understand golf pro shop policies
- Book dinner reservations on open table
- Assist the Front Desk when needed Assist with the housekeeping department as needed

Minimum Experience, Education, Skill & Physical Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be flexible in hours and days worked
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 25 – 50 lbs. and carry up to 10 lbs.
- Must have sound judgment and discretional skills
- Must be proficient in the use of common Windows-based computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be able to operate basic office machines, i.e., copier, fax, printer, etc.
- Must display very good organization and time management skills.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
