Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop is on the lookout for a talented Artist to represent our brand and infuse our world with creativity, excitement, and fun. We’re starting this position as a part-time 1099 contract role, with the potential to grow into a full-time opportunity for the right creative powerhouse!

The Role: 

As our Artist, you’ll be our go-to creative partner, painting store windows, designing window displays, and executing physical art projects that enhance the in-store experience. This is not a digital graphic design position - this is hands-on, physical art that brings our stores to life. This role reports to the VP of Marketing & Brand Development and follows the creative vision set by our CEO. Your work will span in-store art, parade floats, and supporting new store openings with occasional travel. Most importantly, you'll be the face of creativity for Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop, ensuring every project reflects our fun and quirky brand personality.

Responsibilities: 

• Window Art & Displays: Create engaging window displays and in-store artwork that capture our brand’s playful spirit. 
• Creative Projects: Work on a variety of initiatives including parade floats, store art, and other brand-related projects. 
• Budget & Process Compliance: Follow established budgets, instructions, and communication workflow processes to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on-brand. 
• Brand Representation: Embody and promote the Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop experience with fun, eye-catching designs. 
• Collaboration: Work closely with the VP of Marketing & Brand Development and follow the creative vision set by the CEO to bring projects to completion. 
• Travel: Occasionally travel to various store locations for new openings and special creative assignments. 

Job Requirements: 

• Experience & Portfolio: Proven experience in painting, designing, or creating window displays, with a portfolio or work samples to showcase your creative skills. 
• Creative Execution: A creative mind that can execute ideas and follow direction with precision. 
• Team Player: Ability to take direction, collaborate, and align your work with our established creative vision and processes.
• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to diverse projects and travel as needed.
