What are the responsibilities and job description for the 24-25 Coach, Assistant, Boys Tennis position at Grandview C-4 School District?
REPORTS TO :
Building Principal / Athletic Director
SUPERVISES :
20-28 student athletes
JOB GOAL :
To help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the value of
discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Coach individual student athletes in the skills necessary for excellence in chosen sport.
- Plan and schedule a regular program of practice in season.
- Work with athletic director in scheduling, purchasing equipment, supplies, uniforms, etc.
- Maintain necessary attendance forms, insurance records, lineups, statistics, etc.
- Establish performance criteria for eligibility for competition.
- Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times, and establish and oversee penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.
- Work closely with college recruiters through mail and phone calls.
- Organize camps and clinics when appropriate.
- Organize and oversee off-season conditioning.
- Attend / participate in clinics to enhance knowledge and improve program.
- Plan and coordinate end of year awards banquet.
