What are the responsibilities and job description for the 25-26 - Paraprofessional, ELD (English Language Developer) position at Grandview High School?
NOTE: This position is for the 2025-2026 school year. The salary will be based on the 2025-2026 salary schedule which is not yet approved by the Board of Education. The salary listed is based on the current year's salary schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have one of the following:
- Associate's degree or higher - Preferred
- 60 College credit
- Missouri ParaPro Assessment passing score (before September 23, 2013)
- Missouri Paraprofessional Assessment passing score (after September 23, 2013), Or
- Completed Missouri's 20-hour online substitute training program - Available through Grandview C-4 School District - Online

Building Principal
JOB GOAL: To collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to effectively implement activities promoting student achievement during whole and small group instruction. Provide language interpretation, translation and support as needed by stakeholders (school staff and district).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with teachers to implement activities that meet students' instructional and social emotional needs.
- Assist students with scaffolded supports guided by classroom teachers to access content using (interpretation, translation, visuals, one step directions, etc...).
- Lead small group instruction under the direction of a supervising teacher.
- Supervise and adhere to schedules and duties outlined within the building sites needs (hallway duty, lunch duty, bus duty, etc...)
- Facilitate communication by interpreting and translating for Grandview C4 stakeholders as needed (teacher, parent meeting, documents, etc).
- Maintain records, documents and consistently provide two-way communications by sharing information in a timely manner.
- Assist with proactively identifying, screening and assessing English Learners.
- Participate in meetings (Conferences, Parents/Guardians, Teams, PD, etc.)
- Maintain and promote a positive learning environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time - Monday - Friday, 7 hours/188 days per year
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Salary : $19 - $25
