Responsibilities
- Plans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit or during an assigned shift.
- Coordinates the activities of the unit and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff.
- Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care.
- Institutes emergency procedures as necessary.
- Associate's degree required, Bachelors preferred
- Active, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse along a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience to serve in a charge capacity
- Familiarity with intensive care concepts, practices, and procedures is highly preferred
