What are the responsibilities and job description for the HIM Tech I (Non-cert) position at Grandview Medical Center?
Retrieves, reconcile, preps, scans and indexes all patient records according to Department Policies and Procedures. Monitors and maintains various Work/Task Queues. Completes Vital Statistics for the department. Performs a variety of related clerical duties and other job duties as assigned including HIM functions in Cerner, HMS, and other applicable systems. High School graduate or GED equivalent required. RHIT certification preferred.
Never exposed to blood and/or body fluids or potentially infectious materials. Requires constant hearing, speaking, vision and repetitive hand movement. Requires attention to detail despite frequent interruptions.
