Job Description
Grandview Medical Center is hiring a strong Registered Nurse for our Neonatal Intensive Care team! The ideal NICU nurse will have a wide degree of creativity and latitude in order to provide critical care for high acuity neonates.Schedule: 7A-7P (2 days per week)
- Performs functions of assessing; planning implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients during shift.
- Responsible for managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment.
- Assists physicians during examinations and procedures, as well as, collaboration with all members of health care team.
- Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
- Promotes independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, concurrently performing a variety of tasks
- Requires an associate's degree and an active, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through either AHA or American Red Cross required.
- Experience with standard NICU concepts, practices, and procedures is highly preferred. If new graduate, recent preceptorship preferred.
