Job Summary
The Patient Transport Supervisor position is responsible for developing and implementing safe and efficient patient transport solutions in the hospital. This position provides leadership, direction, coordination and administration to the Patient Transport Department.
Essential Functions
- Oversees daily operations of the patient transport function for outpatient testing areas and for patients discharging home.
- Hires, trains, schedules, and provides direction for patient transport staff.
- Maintains effective interdepartmental and intradepartmental relationships and communications to foster a service attitude and to cooperatively provide the highest quality patient experience.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree Business or Health Care Related preferred
- 2-4 years Experience as a supervisor in a health care environment required or
- 2-4 years Experience as a patient transporter required
