What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Scrub Tech/ Medical Assistant Colo Rectal Group position at Grandview Medical Center?
Assists surgeon during operative procedures by passing instruments, medications, dressings, etc., and often provides retraction assistance. Inventorying sterile set-up as needed. Strong knowledgebase of surgical instrumentation required. Strong knowledgebase in sterile technique required. Assists in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating theater. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to a charge nurse or nurse manager. Will also serve as the Provider's Medical Assistant when in clinic.
