Job Description:
Grandview Vineyard is seeking a full-time Tasting Room Manager. This is a full-time position with hourly / bi-weekly pay plus tips that requires weekend hours. Although the schedule is subject to change due to staffing needs, the normal schedule will be to work Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with Tuesday and Wednesday off. (Hours may vary during training period.)

You will be expected to provide the highest level of customer service in order to deliver an amazing experience to our customers each time, while building customer loyalty and representing our brand. They will be exposed to our story so that they can share it with our customers and team members. Position Reports to: Owner / General Manager

Requirements:

• Required to work weekends and be flexible with scheduling
• Required to be 21 years of age or older
• Required to be able to lift/move up to 50lbs
• Required to be able to stand for up to 8 or more hours

Education / Certifications:

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus related service or management experience
• RAMP certification (may obtain through Grandview)
• Manager ServSafe Certification (may obtain through Grandview), Follows all sanitation and safety guidelines, ensuring tasting room and kitchen is organized and clean

Under minimal supervision, our manager will perform principle functions including
(but not limited to):

• Hire, train, and manage tasting room and kitchen staff
• Schedule tasting room staff for business to run smoothly
• Enforce code of conduct, conduct disciplinary meetings
• Organize and Conduct monthly staff meetings
• Maintain inventory of liquor, beer, food and supplies
• Assist in development of drink specials / cocktail menu
• Answer emails, book private events and schedule tours as needed
• Ensure high level of customer service from all staff
• Maintain Point of Sale, updating pricing as needed
• Assist in planning and managing tasting room events
• Assist in booking special events and music for the tasting room
• Develop, manage, and grow the wine club

Further expectations include:

• Performing daily opening/closing tasks
• Learning of all wines/ being able to present and explain them for tastings
• Help/guiding customers in purchases
• Operating IPads/ basic POS system
• Checking ID’s and recognizing when a customer has had too much to drink
• Performing basic cleaning skills
• Stocking merchandise and supplies as needed
• Representing the Grandview brand professionally and enthusiastically
• Maintaining excellent attendance, including being on time to work

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
