Grandy Organics is a 40 year old producer of organic granola, roasted nuts, and trail mix in Hiram, Maine. Our solar powered bakery holds our team of roughly 20 folks working together to produce our delicious products…and it smells GREAT!

Essential Job Functions:
1. Prepare products for baking per standard practice. This includes mixing, baking, cooling and packaging.
2. Identify quality opportunities and make recommendations to improve product and process.
3. Package products according to standard practice and our automated production program.
4. Maintain accurate, neat records of production, shrink, and inventory.
5. Retrieve and organize ingredients following established rotation practices.
6. Wash, clean, and sanitize equipment in accordance with company guidelines
7. Develop product knowledge in all areas of production.
8. Observe and maintain the company's sanitation and food safety standards.
9. Assist in special projects and perform other functions as assigned by supervisors.
10. Assist in training other associates when assigned and certified.
11. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Physical Requirements:
- Perform repetitive grasping, and hand/arm motions while standing/walking the majority of the shift. 2.Lift up to 50 lbs. 40% of the time and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
- Reach to shoulder level or overhead on occasion while lifting up to 20 lbs. on occasion.
- Use their hands to operate controls and feel objects, and use tools to prepare products.
- Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, and food products.
Qualifications:
- 1 year in food production preferred
- Effective communication and ability to follow direction.
- Effective interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (Required)
- Forklift Experience (Not Required)
