GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
To facilitate the flow of product into and out of the distribution warehouse.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Unload delivery trucks
- Put product into assigned locations
- Check in orders
- Split orders to the proper stores
- Process paperwork in a timely manner
- Ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse
- Ensure the pest control program is followed
- Communicate with the truck drivers
- Communicate with the purchasing and distribution staff
- Demonstrate friendliness and professionalism towards vendors and co-workers
- Participate in training as requested
- Uphold cooperative policies and procedures
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by supervising manager
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
- Forklift trained
