This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 2 days in the Seattle office-candidates must be located in the greater Seattle area.

Responsibilities

Think you have what it takes to be a collaborative, forward-thinking Grange team member? Below is a snapshot of what you’d be responsible for:

  • Leading a diverse team of .NET engineers, business analysts, and testers to design, develop, and support company-wide IT solutions built on the Microsoft Full Stack.
  • Overseeing the development and maintenance of mission-critical .NET-based web applications used by policyholders, agents, and business partners.
  • Collaborating with business partners to analyze complex challenges and deliver IT solutions, including architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Monitoring and improving production jobs, system health, and overall system availability, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency.
  • Driving continuous process improvements through effective communication and solution development with business partners.
  • Defining and executing strategic goals for the organization’s software systems while evaluating and recommending changes to align with evolving business needs.

What we are looking for in a new team member:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience as a .NET software developer, with at least 3 years leading engineering teams.
  • 2 years of experience in designing and architecting scalable, high-performance software solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operational management.
  • Proven track record of managing and prioritizing the delivery of programs and products in an agile environment.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on mentoring and motivating team members to reach their full potential.

  • Flexible hybrid work schedule (2 days per week in Seattle office required)
