Summary: This position is responsible for providing leadership over Commercial Lines Underwriting Technicians. Ensuring the execution of best practices and standardized work to accomplish the Enterprise CL business strategy.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Undergraduate degree and/or insurance related course work preferred. Three or more years’ experience in Commercial Lines Operations preferred. Strong understanding of continuous improvement and management of standard work. Must possess excellent communication, work management, analytical and leadership qualities. Minimal travel.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Accountable for executing and monitoring effective processing of work according to our set time service standards and DWP goals.
- Accountable for the leadership of our CL Underwriting Technician team including; hiring decisions, performance reviews, salary adjustments, providing coaching, monitoring results, and developing standardized work to accomplish business objectives.
- Champion our culture of continuous improvement to drive consistency and lead tech innovation that delivers value for our customers and growth for the Enterprise.
- Maintains collaboration with Enterprise Business Partners and Stake Holders affected by CL processes.
- Accountable for conducting and overseeing quality file reviews of technician’s work to maintain consistency and provide additional training as needed.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of ISO, rating, department workflow procedures, and system modifications. Maintains current knowledge of all policy and system operational procedures used in the Commercial Support Operation.
- Oversee team production workloads, including quote distribution, tracking production, and providing information to the Commercial Operation Manager for staffing recommendations.
- Participate in various projects and other duties as assigned.
- Oversee all aspects of training documentation, timing and execution to new and current Commercial Line Techs. Collaborate with P&C Training Operations.
- May be responsible for handling a small territory.
