Non-exempt, full-time (30 - 40 hours / week)
Description :
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks while ensuring the safety of patients and team members. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.). Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned.
Applicants must be detail-oriented and able to problem solve under pressure to perform the job duties effectively.
Essential Functions and Duties :
Monitor and maintain preventive maintenance records and logs
Uses and operates a variety of hand tools and electrical and mechanical equipment
Performs Preventive Maintenance, troubleshooting, basic repairs, adjustments, and installations
Performs finish carpentry (paint touchups, drywall patching, etc.), plumbing (unclogging drains and toilets, replacing water faucets, etc.), and electrical work (changing light bulbs and ballasts)
Maintaining the exterior of the premises, ensuring the facility and grounds are clean and safe, which includes picking up trash, snow removal, salting icy walkways, etc.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time, multiple times per day
Use telephones and basic computer software applications
Work in different indoor / outdoor climates (occasionally in outdoor elements such as rain or snow)
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity in a customer service environment as well as confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail
Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
A valid driver's license is required
Current copy of vehicle insurance is required
