What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gardener (Seasonal) position at Granite Associates?
Essential Functions
The responsibilities of the position of Seasonal Gardener include, but are not limited to, assisting the Head Gardener with:
- Planning and executing gardens and flower beds
- Assist in the care and maintenance of all flower beds, pots and hanging baskets by applying prescribed methods for moisture metering, watering, fertilizing and inspection of plant material
- Assist in the care and maintenance of vegetable gardens, blueberry & raspberry patches, and planting beds utilizing and applying prescribed methods of moisture metering, watering, fertilizing, recording, harvesting, and distribution of fruits and vegetables
- Proper use and care of all company equipment including, but not limited to applying the basic rules for safe operation of company vehicles and equipment
- Reporting pest, disease, and/or health problems to supervisor
- Supporting other teams within the organization when required
- This position may require: moving up to 50 lbs., kneeling, stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, climbing and other repetitive motions.

- Basic knowledge of plants and vegetables preferred
