What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Veterinary Technician position at Granite City Pet Hospital?
We are a small animal, one doctor practice looking to hire full-time Certified Veterinary Technicians to join our team. Applicants must be able to work well with team members and as an individual. We need individuals that are self-motivated, kind, gentle, and have a strong passion for taking care of patients and their pet parents. Our CVTs are encouraged to utilize all of their top skills and education to provide safe and quality care for our patients.
CVT responsibilities include being comfortable with basic technical skills such as blood draws, catheter placement, patient restraint, taking digital x-rays, assisting in surgery and monitoring patients under anesthesia. CVTs should also be comfortable assisting in both routine and diagnostic exams along with recording patient medical histories. We also provide training to use our online management software, Pulse.
