Summary
As an Activities Assistant, you will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of life for residents in long-term care settings. Reporting to the Activities Director, your role involves implementing engaging recreational programs tailored to the needs of seniors, including those with Alzheimer's and dementia. Your core skills in communication and home care will be essential in fostering meaningful interactions. With premium experience in event planning and caregiving, you will help create a supportive environment that promotes socialization and well-being, ensuring that each resident feels valued and connected.
Qualifications
- Experience in long-term care and home & community care settings
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents and families
- Knowledge of care plans and discharge planning processes
- Event planning and recreational therapy experience
- Familiarity with Alzheimer's and dementia care
- Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Background in caregiving and working with individuals with disabilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.70 - $15.00 per hour
