The Ready Mix Concrete Plant Manager will be responsible for the efficient operation of the ready mix concrete plant. This includes overseeing batching operations, dispatching concrete deliveries, managing plant staff, and ensuring that all safety and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ready mix concrete production, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. The batch plant operator must complete all paperwork that may be necessary and must assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed.

Summary: Granite Excavation is seeking Batch plant manager. Granite is a family owned construction company located in Cascade, ID, as well as operates out of the Treasure Valley area. We specialize in earthmoving, underground utilities, paving, and miscellaneous concrete structures in the public and private sectors. We also aim to provide turnkey GC packages in multiple private industries, as well as acting as General Contractors on complex public works projects. Applicant needs to have a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a drug test. Granite is an equal employment opportunity company.

- Production: Oversee batching operations, ensure proper loading, and meet quality standards
- Safety: Ensure safety procedures are followed and manage risks
- Customer relations: Maintain courteous customer relations
- Staff: Manage employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, rewarding, and disciplining
- Dispatch: Dispatch concrete deliveries and schedule driver and plant personnel
- Planning: Plan, assign, and direct work to meet production schedules
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable laws and organization policies

The Batch plant manager has a physically strenuous and demanding job. He/she will be lifting, pulling, shoveling, can include lifting up to 75-100 lbs. The Batch plant manager will have to work in all weather, and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold. The Batch plant manager must ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way.

The Batch Plant Manager must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat. He/she may at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose and skin from irritation and infection.
