Position Summary :
The Frontline Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and onboarding qualified candidates for our hourly field positions, including crew members, maintenance technicians, and other landscape professionals. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with branch management to develop innovative recruiting strategies, represent our brand at local events, and maintain a robust candidate pipeline. Your efforts will directly impact our operational efficiency and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- High-Volume Sourcing : Leverage diverse recruiting methods-job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn), community networks, trade schools, and social media-to identify, attract, and engage hourly landscaping candidates.
- Creative Recruitment Marketing : Develop compelling job ads, flyers, brochures, and digital materials to highlight our company culture, career growth opportunities, and employee benefits.
- Talent Pipeline Management : Build and nurture relationships with local schools, community organizations, and referral sources to maintain a steady flow of prospective crew members.
- Candidate Screening & Selection : Conduct initial interviews in English and / or Spanish and provide qualified candidates to branch managers for hiring consideration. Use the applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage candidate information and hiring decisions.
- Onboarding & Retention : Coordinate the initial onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company. Conduct exit interviews to gain insights into employee retention and inform future recruitment strategies.
- Collaboration with Management : Partner with branch managers, the VP of HR, and other stakeholders to anticipate staffing needs, address worker shortages proactively, and align hiring efforts with business goals.
- Employer Branding & Community Outreach : Represent the company at job fairs, school visits, and community events, showcasing our brand's values, professional development opportunities, and supportive team environment.
