The Senior Landscape Manager is an experienced and highly skilled leader responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of landscape maintenance operations. This role ensures that the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction are maintained across all projects. In the absence of the General Manager, the Senior Landscape Manager will assume full operational responsibility, including managing teams, budgets, and client relationships.

In the absence of the General Manager, the Senior Landscape Manager will assume full operational responsibility, including managing teams, budgets, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop landscape maintenance teams to ensure high performance, quality, and safety standards are met.
- Oversee the daily operations of multiple landscape maintenance projects, ensuring all jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to the company's quality standards.
- Develop and manage the department’s budget, including resource allocation, equipment needs, and labor costs.
- Maintain strong client relationships by addressing concerns, providing timely updates, and ensuring satisfaction with completed work.
- Perform site assessments and work with clients to create customized maintenance plans that meet their specific needs and expectations.
- Monitor worksite safety and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
- Implement and oversee pest control, irrigation systems, fertilization, and other related landscape services.
- Coordinate with the General Manager for ongoing operational improvements, staff development, and performance evaluations.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior managers, supervisors, and staff, fostering a culture of professional growth.
- Collaborate with the sales team to generate new business opportunities and identify areas for expansion.
- Ensure that all maintenance equipment is properly maintained and that safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Manage inventory levels for equipment and materials, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare reports for upper management on performance metrics, budget adherence, and client feedback.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean 3-year record required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape maintenance, with at least 2 years in a management or senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in budget management, client relations, and operational leadership.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, pest management, irrigation systems, and general landscape maintenance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and landscape management software.
- Pesticide Applicator’s License preferred, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
- Certification in landscape management or other relevant certifications.
- Experience with managing large teams and multiple locations.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- This position requires both office and fieldwork, with frequent travel to various job sites.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
