We offer competitive pay and opportunities for growth. We are seeking an experienced QC Inspector for our Casper, Wyoming location.
Job Responsibilities:
1. The Quality Control Inspector (QCI) is responsible for inspecting parts of Pressure Vessels, process piping, Structural skids and/or mechanically assembled units using multiple methods per the design standard, regulatory, customer & internal requirements and/or standards.
2. The QCI must have applicable knowledge to ASME, API, AWS, NACE, SSPC and other standards or codes which will pertain to their job duties.
3. The QCI will be responsible for helping to detect the root cause of Quality issues and well as tracking of documentation throughout internal QC forms and document control software programs. Candidate must have experience in Word, Excel, Bluebeam, etc.
4. The QCI may perform fit-ups, internal, final acceptance, hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, material, material identification and final shipment inspections. All inspections shall be documented on the appropriate paperwork either digitally or as a live document.
5. The QCI will be required to complete and file all documentation that is require for each phase of projects which may include but is not limited to Travelers, Weld maps, Inspection Test Plans (I.T.P.) & Testing Reports.
6. The QCI may be required to perform, review, or interpret non-destructive examinations using various methods.
7. The QCI will be required to coordinate with the NDE crew and 3rd Party Inspections.
8. The QCI will be required to communicate with all other departments and staff to manage the implementation and/or continuance of safe work practices, quality issues, areas of improvements and weakness in all products or departments. This requires professional written & verbal communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
9. The QCI may be required to perform final shipment walkthroughs, ensuring that the product is 100% complete and ready to ship to the customer. This may include but is not limited to final paint appearance and defects, dimensional checks, internal part checks and flange protection.
10. The QCI shall have the willingness to be flexible with job duties and tasks. Team work is the key to success.
Minimum Job Requirements:
1. Experienced with ASME, API, AWS, NACE & SSPC codes, practices, and standards.
2. 3-5 years’ experience in quality control, particularly in at least one code listed above.
3. 3-5 years’ experience in fabricating and/or inspection of Oil and Gas production equipment.
4. Computer Skills (Microsoft Excel & Word, Outlook and other Industry related programs.
5. Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings, read a tape measure and properly use other inspection tools.
6. Goal-orientated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
7. A CWI is preferred but not necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
