Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Carpentry skills: Proficient in the use of hand tools like hammers, saws, drills, and gauge pan and box brake. Precisely cut metal tin, pre-insulated panels, fiberglass materials, metal framing, and other building materials to size using power saws and hand tools. Join wall panels and other structural elements using fasteners and appropriate techniques. Attach windows, doors, siding, and other pre-built components to the building structure.
- Blueprint reading: Ability to interpret construction drawings and understand technical specifications.
- Basic math skills: Provide accurate measuring and calculations to ensure proper component assembly.
- Physical stamina: Possess the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail: Ensure precise assembly and quality control throughout the process.
- Safety awareness: Follow safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and using
- Maintain all equipment in good working condition and use basic mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose and repair items as needed.
- Provide strong communication daily to the Manager and team members.
- Willingness to be flexible with job duties.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift and/or carry 70 lbs. over tough terrain
- Able to work 12-14 hours shifts if needed
- Able to work in harsh weather conditions
- High School Diploma or GED
- Entry level position, but candidate preferably has 1 year of general construction experience
- Strong analytical skills and quick learner
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Applicants must be Drug Free, a pre-employment drug test and random drug tests are required.
