Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team countertop manufacturing center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of stone slabs within the warehouse and yard. This role requires a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes, as well as adherence to safety regulations set forth by OSHA.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, vacuum lifters, and pallet jacks to move stone slabs throughout the warehouse and yard.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring accurate inventory management.
- Utilize company inventory control system to photograph slabs and track inventory locations.
- Assist in building pallets and crates for shipping, ensuring proper stacking and securing of items.
- Track shop supplies and consumables to ensure minimum levels are maintained.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of shipping and receiving tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to speak Spanish and English
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and inventory control.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment as needed.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment, including cranes, vacuum lifters, and pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for effective warehouse management.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
