With more technology being placed in and around the windshield, quality Auto Glass Technicians are in demand. We train our technicians from day one on the proper and safe manner to remove and install auto glass.
Trainee Requirements and Progression:
- Auto Glass Technicians in training typically earn between $18-$20 per hour as a minimum.
- Trainee progress is reviewed at 30 days with another review at 90 days which often results in an increase in hourly wages.
- Ideal candidates would have a background in automotive repair or auto body experience.
- Be capable with hand tools and thrive within a fast paced team dynamic.
- Auto Glass Technicians in training typically spend 6 months /- at the GSG training hubs in Concord or Manchester.
Experienced Auto Glass Technicians:
- Experienced Auto Glass Technicians typically earn in the $22-$32 per hour range dependent upon experience and skill level
- Experienced Auto Glass Technicians are encouraged to apply to GSG and learn more about New England’s leader in auto glass and customer satisfaction
Auto Glass Technician Responsibilities:
- Safe removal / preparation of the automobile and glass
- Safe removal and installation of windshields, door glass and back glass
- Perform both in shop and mobile installations on occasion
- Develop understanding and skills to work with ADAS recalibration techniques
- Accurate and organized handling of paperwork
- Work safely within the GSG/OSHA safety program.
Requirements:
- Have a great attitude and be willing to work within a team dynamic
- Safe and competent operation of hand tools
- Professional interaction with clients when necessary
- Willingness to learn and apply new skills.
- Safe operation of company vehicles
