General Summary of Position:

Sr. Product Manager: Granite is propelling itself towards a technology-driven future, consistently providing outside the box solutions to solve the most difficult problems our customers face. We are designing and building products to ensure our customer's voice and data networks are connected, secure, and well-supported. To do this, we're looking to add creative, driven resources to our team to help us create hard and soft products that add substantial value to our customers. We are focused on scalability, usability, and transparency for our clients. Our mission statement is to make it simpler to do business with us than anyone else in the service provider game. We achieve this by providing easy to use portals, reliable solutions, automated processes for quicker and more successful deployments, increased network visibility and control, transparent billing and inventory, and reliably built products and systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Internal/external market research to gauge product interest

* Ideate new products and services to solve customer needs and generate new revenue streams

* Operationalize new products into the Granite ecosystem, with a strong understanding of how various components of the system are interconnected

* Offer input to software engineers regarding system design and software logic

* Research and implement product development software and processes that best suit the business needs

* Document technical specifications and design changes for hardware/software products

* Create marketing copy and training documentation for internal business groups

* Stress test customer-facing applications for bugs, work with software engineers to resolve

* Develop & maintain product release plan(s), relaying updates to key contributors and stakeholders

* Maintain a feature release schedule, prioritizing those that are most urgent, affect the most users, or lead to the most revenue generation

* Implement deployment strategies that are easy to adopt and scalable over time

* Develop interdepartmental relationships to facilitate better collaboration to increase customer satisfaction

* Night/overnight work sometimes required

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in software development, computer science/IT, business administration, or product management

* Minimum of 5 years' experience managing technical hardware and software products

* Experience building and iterating products with cross-functional teams in an agile or scrum environment

* Obsession with customer experience

* Keen eye for design and usability - must have UI/UX experience building applications

* Data analytics experience - ability to consolidate data and develop into meaningful strategies to generate revenue

* Proficient written and verbal technical communication skills - must be able to lead and participate in technical discussions and disseminate information to non-technical audience, including C-level executive presentations

* Experience with formalized change management and projects spanning multiple product offerings and technical platforms

* Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate multiple groups to work towards the same goal

* Strong curiosity with a desire to keep up with industry trends, new tools and technologies, and more efficient ways to do business

* Excellent time management and delegation skills

* Systems thinking individual with an analytical mindset

* Self-starter, goal-oriented, ability to drive resolution without micromanagement

Preferred Qualifications:

* Product Management certifications (i.e. Product Manager Certificate, Pragmatic Institute's Product Management Certification, AIPMM Certified Product Manager Credential, Product Development and Management Association's (PDMA) New Product Development Certification, etc.)

* Previous experience in a marketing or consulting role

* PMP Certification

* Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, or Kanban project management experience

* Design background, strong proficiency in Figma or similar application

* Experience working in various product management systems like Monday.com, Asana, Wrike, Craft.io, Aha!, ProductPlan, ClickUp, etc.

* Experience with supply chain lifecycle from design to mass production

* Exposure to network/security engineering concepts

* Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

* Familiarity with JIRA, Azure DevOps, Visio, Smartsheet, Trello, Slack
