Granite VNA is glad to be participating in the New England Home Health Nurse Residency Program!
The New England Home Health Nurse Residency Program is a unique and comprehensive program designed for recent RN graduates who aspire to become expert home health care RNs. The program provides evidence-based training and clinical on-boarding during a 12-month program to support the transition from nursing graduate to professional home health care nurse.
The virtual education and discussion with peers in combination with the individualized clinical experiences, provide a path to learning new skills, advancing nursing career goals, and progressing to expert nursing care for home health care patients.
A nurse in the Nurse Residency program is considered a full time RN and receives full-time pay and benefits!
The program is scheduled to kick-off at the beginning of August 2025 and go through early Summer 2026.
You may apply for the Nurse Resident position prior to successfully passing the NCLEX. Submitting your application begins the process.
You may interview and be offered a position prior to passing the NCLEX. We plan to hire [two] nurse residents to participate in the program. Passing the NCLEX is required by August 1, 2025 and before starting the formal program in early August.
Applicants must provide the following in addition to their online application:
- Personal statement on why you want to be a home health nurse and the specific qualities you possess to be a good nurse.
- Formal cover letter and resume with clinical information and experience.
- Two letters of recommendation from a clinical professor/instructor and nursing faculty.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, accompanied by current New Hampshire nursing license, or compact state license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
