Maintenance Technician
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Location: Peterborough, NH (does require flexibility to provide support in our Chichester & Merrimack locations as needed)
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician follows direction from the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks and provides support for all 3 of our business locations. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning {HVAC}, plumbing, etc.). Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned.
Essential Functions:
· Diagnose, repair & maintain physical structures, equipment, and systems at various locations.
· Use hand tools, power tools, replacement parts and procedures to complete assigned work tasks.
· Maintain a clean and safe work area.
· Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely.
· Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as needed.
· Recognize potential problems and take appropriate action.
· Change filters for HVAC as required.
· Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, as needed.
· Ensure compliance with established procedures, processes and quality standards.
· Must be able to work flexible hours and provide support with emergent issues.
· Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic computer skills & Microsoft office (ie; Email, Word, Excel).
- 2 to 4 years performing hands-on equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge and use of power and hand tools.
- Experience in troubleshooting.
- Strong Attention to detail.
- Ability to understand electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Possess good communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
- Operates within OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Possess reliable transportation, valid drivers’ license and applicable vehicle insurance for business travel.
Physical requirements:
- The job requires physical activity, including prolonged sitting, standing, repetitive bending, climbing, crawling, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds (or more with a coworker). Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Able to use and properly climb ladders.
- Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
- Frequent kneeling, bending squatting, walking and lifting.
- Plant pollen is present on surfaces and in the air.
- This is a hands-on, cannabis production position, working in an indoor production, warehouse-like environment.
- Rooms are industrially lit and feature machinery sounds at times.
- Ability to work outdoors in temperatures above 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit as assigned when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
