Job Description
The Skilled Service Technician will be based and work at local maintenance facility but may be required to deploy to assist with set up, maintenance, and break down of mobile base camps as needed. Performs troubleshooting and preventative maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient job site. Day-to-day duties include, but are not limited to, plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical, administrative, laundry facilities upkeep, and ground maintenance tasks as assigned.
Essential Functions to be performed at Granny's Maintenance facility but may require deployment nationwide to set up basecamps.
This job operates in field environments and shop location. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, hand tools, site equipment and vehicles, and is required to use and wear standard PPE, which will be provided by the company. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to twist, turn, bend, lift, kneel, climb and stand. Lifting of up to 75 lbs may occur. Employee will be required to travel (at organization expense) in automobile and/or aircraft. Expectation of exposure to weather (heat, cold, rain, snow) as operations occur in all areas of the country.
Travel
This position requires travel. Travel is dependent on contract load and disaster response. Ability to travel to job sites and be away for extended periods of time based on contract needs is required.

- Perform general maintenance functions for plumbing, electrical, appliance systems.
- Perform general maintenance functions for temporary facilities, equipment assets such as mobile laundry, restrooms, showers and sleepers, and tented structures, to include carpentry or similar repairs.
- Perform ground maintenance and limited site work tasks as needed.
- Perform equipment operation onsite as required (training will be provided).
- Perform daily/scheduled maintenance checks and services on equipment and company trucks.
- Operate site equipment to include but not limited to forklifts, work carts, yard maintenance equipment, skid steers (training will be provided)
- Assist with maintenance of potable water and wastewater truck and pump systems on project site.
- Repair company equipment as needed to maintain serviceable condition.
- Coordinate service calls when required.
- Perform general administrative functions.
- Perform general laundry functions.
- Basic Tradesmen Skills Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical
- Basic mechanical skills
- Knowledge of and ability to operate basic hand and power tools.
- Great organizational skills
- General knowledge of safe working practices
- Read and interpret owner's manuals, equipment schematics and work orders.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Have a clean driving record (able to drive company vehicles).
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills
- Ability to lift 75 Ibs.
- Ability to learn and follow safety instructions.
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills
- Flexible scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays and travel.
- Willingness to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
