Job Description
The Administrator of the Ackerman Autism Center, at the Grant a Gift Autism Foundation – Ackerman Center, in alliance with UNLV Health, will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children, adolescents, and families affected by autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in healthcare administration, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for improving the lives of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as well as other neurodevelopmental conditions. They will work in conjunction with the President & CEO to develop key performance indicators, strategic vision for the future, Director of Finance & HR to ensure the clinic is meeting budget, in-line with grant funding and goals, as well as the Director of Marketing and Events to ensure external communication is consistent with organizational branding.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Management :
- Oversee the daily operations of the center, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to enhance service delivery and compliance with regulations.
- Work in conjunction with other department heads to ensure that operational effectiveness is in line with organizational goals.
- Manage collaboration across disciplines, to ensure effective communication across service lines, and patient flow.
Financial Oversight :
Prepare and manage the Ackerman Center's budget in collaboration with the finance team.Monitor financial performance, including revenue and expenses, to ensure financial sustainability, per service line.Identify opportunities for cost savings and increased funding.Staff Leadership and Development :
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and administrative staff.Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and high performance.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.Program Development and Evaluation :
Design and implement programs and services that meet the needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorder, and other neurodevelopmental disorders and their families.Evaluate program effectiveness through data collection, analysis, and feedback from stakeholders.Collaborate with community partners, researchers, and academic institutions to enhance program offerings.Patient and Family Support :
Ensure that all patients and families receive compassionate, patient-centered care.Address and resolve any patient or family concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.Promote family engagement and education through workshops, support groups, and resources. Working in conjunction with the marketing team to ensure effective communication and advance notice of workshops and support groups.Compliance and Quality Assurance :
Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.Implement and maintain quality assurance initiatives to continually improve service delivery.Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement.Expanded knowledge of contracting and credentialing guidelines.Robust knowledge of billing practices, and ICD-10 coding guidelines.Complete and thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations and privacy officer requirements.Community Outreach and Advocacy :
In collaboration with the President & CEO, represent the center at community events, conferences, and meetings to raise awareness and support for neurodiverse services.Advocate for policies and programs that benefit individuals with a neurodiverse disability and their families.Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, grantors and other stakeholders to secure on-going support and funding.Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or a related field (master's degree preferred, or Certified Medical Practice Executive from MGMA).
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare administration, with a focus on program management and staff supervision.5-10 years supervisory experience in healthcare related setting5-10 years customer service experience.Demonstrated ability to use and administer electronic medical record system.Demonstrated ability to use various computer programs to include Microsoft office suite.Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.Knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality standards.Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and data analysis.Proficiency in local, state, and federal compliance regulations to include HIPAA, OSHA, and Medicaid Billing.Ability to work flexible hours as needed.Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.Application of business methods including procurement, productivity, workload analysis and scheduling.Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records and consent laws.Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 and insurance billing and coding.Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and manage multiple provider types.Preferred Qualifications :
Preferred experience working with individuals with autism or other neurodevelopmental conditions.Experience working in a nonprofit organization.Familiarity with grant management.Clinical background or experience in a clinical setting.Physical Requirement
