The Grant County School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of
Principal at Crittenden Mt. Zion Elementary School
for the 2025-2026 academic school year. This is a 240 day per year position.
Qualifications:
- shall hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and the required Kentucky certificate for the assigned position.
- shall demonstrate the ability to work effectively with students, peers and adults.
- shall demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and faculty.

Terms of Employment:
Days of Employment - 240 days
SALARY:
Commensurate with the school district’s Certified Salary Schedule
Physical Qualifications:
- shall have the ability to sit, stoop, possibly lift up to 50 pounds or more, and any/all body movements as related to the job description.
Job Goal:
- Charged with ensuring the school is focused on student improvement and in administering the school in a manner consistent with the district’s and principal’s belief, philosophy, policies, procedures and directives.

Specific Duties:
- ensuring that academic policies and curriculum are followed
- developing and tracking benchmarks for measuring institutional success

- encouraging, guiding and assisting student leaders and teachers
- meeting with parents and administrators on a regular basis for problem resolution
- enforcing discipline when necessary
- providing an atmosphere free of any bias in which students can achieve their maximum potential
