Intermediate Data Governance Policy and Communications Consultant
(Remote)
Grant Leading Technology (GLT) is seeking a self-motivated candidate for a Senior Data Governance Policy and Communications role. The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise and implement innovative business solutions for a current government client. We are looking for a candidate who has strong problem solving and critical thinking skills who will fit with our collaborative culture. The position will be remote, and the hours will be Monday-Friday 8:00 to 4:30 EST.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate and ensure adherence to data governance policies for FAA Chief Data Office to support business plan goals and targets
- Support execution of organization-wide events and engagements including trainings, office hours, panel discussions, and other media platforms related to federal agency data governance
- Facilitate agency-wide data governance policy socialization campaigns and joint organization initiatives
- Develop content, maintain, refresh, and manage awareness/adoption of organization websites, tools, systems, data policies and processes
- Evaluate business processes, policies, and procedures available to support current and future FAA Chief Data Office mission objectives and priorities
- Recommend and implement business process innovations
- Collaborate with various subject matter experts to develop communication plans, change management plans and training programs for data governance initiatives
- Implement strategic planning and socialization initiatives for agency’s Chief Data Office.
- Develop and implement initiatives related to leadership priorities, business plan objectives, or customer needs
- Define objectives, targets, and metrics for the communication goals of agency initiatives
- Address challenges related to the adoption and embracing of desired organizational future state
- Develop, review, and present agency communications
- Develop, monitor, and report on Communication Plans to achieve strategic goals
- Conduct research and develop recommendations for data governance policies
- Develop strategies for and support execution of agency-wide data governance events and engagements
- Develop and execute senior leadership briefings, presentations, and reports
- Use metrics to identify correlation between drivers and results, and using that information to drive the right behaviors
Qualifications and Education:
- Five (5) or more years of related experience in data governance, strategic planning, and change management
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Expert in PowerPoint, Word, MS Teams
- Proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, and Visio
- At least three (3) years’ experience in the development of process flow diagrams
- Proven track record of on-time delivery of projects
- A proven record of managing and delivering cross team work products with strong focus on efficiency and operational excellence
- Record of applying metrics and decision making
- Excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, and ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
- Ability to engage with product customers and gather, manage, and monitor client requirements
- Must live in the United States and be authorized to work in the U.S. WITH ability to pass public trust clearance

- Familiarity with Federal Policy M-19-23 (Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act of 2018)
- Familiarity with Data Community Maturity Assessments

- Familiarity with Jira
- Six Sigma or LEAN certification(s)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
