Company:
We have been retained by a Private Equity owned, acquisition-oriented, entrepreneurial renewable energy company to hire a high-potential, hands-on Analyst in their Portfolio Management group. This transaction-focused group is owned by a prestigious private-equity firm with over $150B in AUM. They are well positioned for continued growth and acquisitions. The company is located in Arlington, is Metro accessible, and currently operates at a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
Position:
This newly created position will report to the Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management, who will provide excellent guidance, training, and mentorship. Additionally, this person will have valuable exposure to multiple areas of the company, including asset management/operations, accounting & finance, mergers & acquisitions, and the executive leadership team. This hands-on person will be the primary analytic support to the Portfolio team and will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing revenue for the portfolio/operating assets. This is a unique and outstanding opportunity to learn about the renewable energy business and provide valuable analytic information/KPI’s to help management make profitable business decisions. This position will have high visibility and take on more responsibility as they learn the business.
Responsibilities:
- Assist to monitor/manage the daily portfolio risk position, profit and loss, and market reporting.
- Support portfolio management team decision making, risk management activities, commodity transactions, and reporting with analytical and operational information.
- Analyze/interpret data to support decision making with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Work closely with Asset Management and Accounting teams to maximize portfolio results.
- Conduct financial modeling and analysis to support investment decisions.
- Ad Hoc, Special Projects which will include working closely with cross-functional teams to further develop and execute project strategies and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or other quantitative related majors.
- Maximum 3 years of progressive financial and quantitative experience.
- Current or prior energy experience preferred. Experience with renewable energy or energy private equity firm a plus.
- Strong knowledge/proficiency in Excel required; Power BI experience a plus. Aptitude/enjoy quantitative work.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
