TITLE: PC Support Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
POSITION STATUS/HOURS: Full-time 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week). Typical hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some varying shifts for meetings/trainings, computer work, and upgrades at time of least disruption. On call rotation every fourth week (Mon-Sun) and rotating on call holidays. Schedule is subject to change to meet the needs of GRHC.

JOB SUMMARY:
PC Support Specialist will provide level one help desk support for all systems supported by the departments. Evaluate and resolve customer information system problems and assist in maintaining software and hardware on computers and devices connected to the network. Ensure the proper installation and configuration of workstation hardware and software for efficient operation on the network. Ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, implementing, and configuring systems and applications.
- Serve as first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email.
- Record, track, and document request using the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution. Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.
- Perform post-resolution follow-ups to help desk request.
- Assist in desktops computers, anti-virus, printers, routers, switches, software deployment, security updates and patches.
- Assist in maintenance, setup, backup, repair, upgrades, and troubleshooting of all network equipment and devices attached to the network.
- Install and train users on new hardware or software
- Monitor ticket system and assign issues accordingly
- Expectations are that the successful candidate will continue to expand their basic knowledge and capabilities with primary responsibilities increasing accordingly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in Information Systems/Technology with experience in applicate design, development, installation, and modifications.

Prefer experience and/or skills in the following:
- Windows and Network administration experience or certification (to include understanding of TCP/IP/ DHCP, DNS,WINS etc.)
- PC assembly, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Printer troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Software installation, configuration, maintenance, and support; windows-based environment.
- User helpdesk support
- Planning and responding to system outages.
- Microsoft Office 365
- Self-motivated and organized.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team player, multi-task, problem solve and work independently.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 25 pounds. Occasionally able to push, pull or lift up to 60 pounds. Ability to stand and/or sit for up to 2 hours at a time. Ability to use hand and arms for simple grasping, equipment placement, or facilitation techniques.
