Grants Pass High School Dean of Students - 2025-2026 School Year

Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following position for the 2025-2026 school year:

Dean of Students

Salary range: $53,339-$94,166

(Salary based on 2024-2025 salary schedule - 2025-2026 salary schedule to be determined.)

A valid Oregon Teaching License is required.

Personal Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative leadership style, and be a team player with the ability to work with school administration, staff, students, and parents.

Responsibilities and Requirements for this person would include (but are not limited to):

• Assist in enforcing district and school policy for students who have violated Disciplinary Procedures.
• Assign in-school suspensions and work with Administration in assisting in Change of Placement and offenses that might warrant an expulsion.
• Must have the ability to work with students that have chronic behavior and attendance issues.
• Must have the ability to work with the school counseling office and school administration in developing interventions and options for students with chronic behavior and attendance issues.
• Coordinate with administration by assisting with department and team interventions and explorations/enrichments.
• Work with community partners to better serve the student population.
• Communicate with student support teams and attendance teams while utilizing GP On Track data to assist with student interventions and provide additional supports.
• Communicate effectively and diplomatically with staff, parents, and students.
• Be willing to have difficult conversations.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
