Driver’s Education Instructor
Terms of Employment: Part-time with salary to be determined by local salary schedule
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare lessons tailored to students' needs.
- Provide instruction on the parts and functions of a vehicle and on-road regulations.
- Teach practical skills related to all aspects of driving.
- Help students develop confidence in their driving skills.
- Gain control of the vehicle during emergency situations.
- Calm students who are in distress.
- Document and report on students' progress.
- Inform students when they are ready to take the driver's test.
- Report all accidents to the Director of Transportation.
Qualifications
- Driving: 5 years (Required)
- Driver's License (Required)
- NC Instructor's License. (80hr driver instructor course) (Required)
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
