What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interventionist-Part Time position at Granville County Schools?
Reports To: Shelby Hunt, Senior Director of Federal Programs
Purpose: To provide regular, explicit literacy or math instruction to students in grades K-8
Duties and Resposibilities:
As a K-8 Literacy/Math Tutor you will be employed by a partner school district or private school
to work as a high-impact tutor. After you are hired by the school system, you will be onboarded.
To follow the high-impact tutoring model, you will work in-person at least 2-3 days a week, with multiple groups of 1-4 students for 30 minutes at a time. This work will support K-8 students with foundational skills. You will be required to use the curriculum at the school site. You will log each tutoring session to ensure that tutoring data is available as schools monitor student’s academic progress.
Exact dates and times for any learning and onboarding will be shared by your local school
district once hired. As an employee of the school district, you will be paid hourly by the district
