Job Title: Tutor, HB4545 Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Reports to: Principal Pay Grade: Hourly
Dept./School: Secondary Campus Date Revised: 9/2021
Certified Teacher: $30 hr
Non-certified: $20 hr
Purpose: Working under the direction of campus administration and consistent with district training, provide supplemental instruction that accelerates student learning. Responsible for delivering supplemental instruction (i.e., tutoring) before or after school, or embedded in the school day while meeting HB 4545 requirements
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Preferred)
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned (Preferred)
Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
ESL Certification preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of core academic subjects assigned
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
At least one-year student teaching or approved internship (Preferred)
Salary : $20 - $30
