What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing Manager position at Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange?
Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange (GRACE), a nonprofit organization, is seeking an organized, mission-minded individual to oversee the implementation, evaluation, and future expansion of the housing program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develops and monitors departmental goals, budget, policies, guidelines, forms, and training materials. Suggests changes as need dictates.
- Reviews, evaluates and reports programs results/efficiency/effectiveness.
- Works closely with case manager to qualify client eligibility for homeless designation/program criteria for Mentorship Housing program and meets with CPO to discuss ultimate determination of client eligibility and appropriateness.
- Assists eligible clients in completing steps necessary for entering the program.
- Reviews client service plans with Care Manager to determine goal setting and evaluating program compliance and achievements.
- Responds to client concerns including complaints and/or recognized needs of special populations.
- Assists with schedule and reporting of maintenance/up-keep/beautification of GRACE-owned Mentorship Housing properties.
- Provides for continuum of furnishing of client apartments/homes.
- Works with other GRACE departments on seasonal programs including Christmas Cottage, holiday food distribution, school supply distribution.
- Helps clients access transportation, employment and/or training, and other supportive services.
- Facilitates a support group and/or resident meetings for Mentorship Housing clients.
- Prepares and distributes monthly statistical reports.
- Serves as GRACEs liaison and interface with appropriate Social Service and other agencies as assigned by supervisor.
- Successfully handles after-hours emergency service delivery by overseeing on-call phones/schedules.
Required Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Business Administration or a closely related field.
- Professional experience working with HUD, homeless population, and social services.
- 5 years professional working experience in housing program management.
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) is a plus.
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) is a plus.
Salary:
- $52,000 annually; paid semi-monthly
- FLSA - Exempt
