What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer and Public Relations Coordinator position at Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange?
GRACE, a non-profit organization in Grapevine, TX, is seeking an energetic, mission-minded individual to coordinate recruiting, interviewing, promoting, recognizing, and retaining volunteers for the organization. This individual will also work under the Marketing and Communications Manager to create and publish media content across our social media platforms.
**PLEASE NOTE: This position does require occasional evening and weekends as needed to attend functions benefitting GRACE.**
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the data entry of all volunteer and Community Service Restitution (CSR) applications and hours, follow up with reports when needed;
- Utilize volunteer database and execute timely entries of volunteer records, donor information, and transactions;
- Schedule and conduct monthly orientations for volunteers, both Community Service Restitution (CSR) and regular;
- Supervises volunteers and respond to inquiries from prospective volunteers, groups, and donors;
- Conduct presentations to churches, schools, civic organizations and other businesses interested in supporting GRACEs mission;
- Oversee volunteer recognition and appreciation events (National Volunteer Week and Annual Volunteer Recognition dinner/luncheon);
- Create graphics/videos for social media platforms and schedule and promote content on social media;
- Assist in implementing plans to increase followers on popular social media websites such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn;
- Develop and foster relations with media by cultivating and expanding the in-house media contact list.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or Social Work preferred;
- Equivalent experience of 3-5 years in a relevant field will be strongly considered;
- Non-profit experience and volunteer coordination/management preferred;
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint);
- Excellent communication, written, and listening skills;

Pay/Schedule
- FLSA Status - Exempt (Salaried)
- Monday-Friday typically 9 am - 5 pm
- Occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
