Additionally, the Die Cutting Manager responsibilities include:
- Manage shift productivity to ensure uninterrupted production throughout all shifts.
- Coordinate with the plant manager, scheduler, die makers, production coordinator, and design team to ensure smooth communication regarding dies, vinyls, and stripping/blanking units.
- Order materials from various approved vendors to ensure proper workflow and storage while optimizing spending and maintaining inventory levels and integrity.
- Develop tools to track and analyze the effectiveness of blanking versus non-blanking jobs.
- Maintain the die cutting and die pre-make ready rooms, as well as other work and storage areas, in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
- Identify and recommend continuous improvements for the department, including processes, tools, and software.
- Ensure compliance with all system, process, and product requirements.
- Proactively recommend solutions to potential issues that could negatively impact Graph Pak’s operations and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Folding carton manufacturing industry experience.
- Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong background in die cutting machinery (Bobst) and operations, including setup, operating, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimizing equipment.
- Solid understanding of CAD software and related design programs for creating die layouts and optimizing cutting processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train, coach and mentor team.
- Bilingual preferred.
