Position Summary:
The Buyer is responsible for daily purchases of the organization as well as other items assigned by the Purchasing Manager / Director of Finance.

- Uses accounting software system/other related software to prepare and track purchase orders for materials and supplies as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring that suppliers comply with order specifications, including quality requirements
- Responsible for on-time procurement of materials, fulfillment services and supplies
- Will be asked to research various sources and terms for certain materials, supplies, and services by the Purchasing Manager
- Responsible for the time adjustment of inventory based on monthly reports from production managers and cycle counts.
- Communicates effectively with other departments to ensure needs are met.
- Attends various departmental meetings to stay current on modifications made
- Stays current on all relevant HIPAA/HITECH/PHI regulations and procedures
- Maintains the highest level of security and confidentiality as defined by company policy
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or President/CEO
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- High School Diploma / GED required
- 2-3 years of related experience
- Ability to maintain good working relationship with staff, outside vendors and clients
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Exclusion from the System for Award Management (SAM) List of Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE) prior to hire and ongoing throughout their tenure at the company. Inclusion in the LEIE is grounds for immediate dismissal
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Complete all required training courses upon hire and annually thereafter
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
