What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Assistant - Creative Services position at Graphic Design & Marketing?
Job Summary: Production Assistant in the in-house Creative Services Department shall work on all projects as assigned by Managers or the Chief Marketing Officer.
Essential Functions:
1. Assist in the day-to-day print production projects including: printing, laminating and trimming, trimming large format sheets, scoring, folding, collating, coil binding, etc.
2. Send documents to pre-configured printer.
3. Assemble marketing collateral into packets or binders for training sessions for various companies.
4. Assist with inventory controls procedures.
5. Assist designers with ongoing projects as needed.
6. Assist with mass mailings including printing, envelope stuffing, and labeling.
7. Assist with the production, update, and tracking all business card and name plate design requests.
8. Assist with the organization of files and photograph libraries.
9. Assist as needed with in-house photography and videography services including lighting set-up, product photographs, building photographs, group personnel photographs and frame tracking logs.
10. Manipulate and edit photographs and other image files as well as finding, opening, naming, and saving documents and files.
11. Provide proof reading support for working projects as needed.
12. Assist in data-base maintenance and mail merges for direct mail campaigns.
13. Assist in maintaining the department tracker spreadsheet of incoming project requests.
14. Assist with researching content for social media posts.
15. Attend all departmental meetings and actively participate in brain storming sessions.
16. Assist in placing requests for services, maintenance and repair of the equipment and printers.
17. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Manager or Chief Marketing Officer.

- Minimum: One year related course work and/or work experience, preferable in print production, graphic design, marketing, customer service or operations support capacity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Explorer, Excel, PowerPoint) e-mail and internet functions.
- Proficient in PC platforms. Knowledge of MAC platform a plus.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign a plus.
