Salary : $28-$35 (MUST HAVE PRESS EXPERIENCE)

Mill shift schedule

Description

To safely operate and maintain a Flexo Printing Press to efficiently and effectively manufacture folding cartons. Responsible for production performance and crew management. Working nights on a mill shift rotation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Production management to include :
Machine setup, adjustments, and make readies
Troubleshooting of machine and / or quality issues
Assist with maintenance and machine setups
Completion of required product and process audits
Exchange of information with shifts prior to and following work shift
Adherence to quality specifications
Identification of product / process enhancements to improve efficiencies, reduce downtime, and spoilage

Team Management

Training of crew members to ensure job duties are performed efficiently and effectively

Enforcing compliance with company policies (i.e., GMP / AIB / Safety)

Maintaining a clean and safe work area

Effectively leading work crew to meet production goals

Attend team meetings

Actively participate in and support sample production runs

Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

In-depth understanding of printing concepts

Good communication skills

Strong mechanical aptitude

Ability to troubleshoot equipment and quality issues

Ability to train new team members

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand, walk, and work 12-hour shifts with a 36 to 48 hour work week when needed

Ability to work weekends and holidays if necessary to meet customer demands

Must be able to differentiate colors

Education and Experience

Must have prior printing experience as either Operator I or Operator II with related job duties and responsibilities

Post-secondary education in printing technologies, etc. preferred

General math skills
