What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Processor position at Graphic Village?
Summary
The Data Processor performs tasks in support of our Data Processing Team. Work involves uploading mail documents, building incoming job requests, logistics coordinating, preparing comingling services, basic data processing, and managing our mailing/data processing schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily shipments and supply the required paperwork that should accompany each project
- Update and validate mail.dat files for jobs routing to the USPS
- Maintain an updated job schedule and communicate delays to invested parties
- Estimate job completion dates and communicate job progress through the relevant production processes.
- Schedule logistic company transportation for projects based on job specific demands
- Coordinate, monitor and maintain status of all comingling services required through shipment
- Evaluate content of incoming job requests to compile a new work request that contains all required information to be processed by our data team
- Interpret job instructions to perform necessary data and mail preparation production processes. Review job instructions for accuracy and completeness, and if discrepancies are found, facilitate the creation of new instructions with a List Services Representative
- Tracking, requesting and communicating postage payment and permit funding information internally
- Understand and follow HIPAA policies and procedures
Competencies:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products with focus on Excel and Word.
- Working knowledge of various file formats/types (.csv, .txt, .dbf, etc.)
- Excellent computer/data processing skills through certification and/or previous job training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must possess good decision-making skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to remain calm and stay on target under pressure and tight timelines.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Software
