Summary/Objective
Our Lead provides direction to the Variable Data Programmers, including processes and training for standard workflow of cleansing, standardizing and postal processing of data files & name lists for all print and direct mail programs and prioritizing of jobs to meet customer delivery expectations and standard turnaround times.

Our Lead provides direction to the Variable Data Programmers, including processes and training for standard workflow of cleansing, standardizing and postal processing of data files & name lists for all print and direct mail programs and prioritizing of jobs to meet customer delivery expectations and standard turnaround times.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for oversight of the day-to-day production of client mailing and variable print projects, custom programming for variable data and triggered business logic on print campaigns.
- Creating and managing the SOPs and automation processes for cleansing, converting and standardizing lists for mailing.
- Partnering with Scheduling, Directors and Managers of other areas to ensure optimal schedules and turn times for jobs and projects through Data Services.
- Prepress activities related to preparing files for print production, creating proofs, troubleshooting customer provided files, variable data processing and preparing customer files for mailing.
- Provides direction for postage estimates, drop ship, commingling and freight plan recommendations, keeping up-to-date with USPS regulations and promotions.
- This position requires access to “Client-Sensitive” data, PHI/ePHI access or authorization. Mandatory security training as well as background/drug screen will be implemented.
Competencies
- Excellent attention to detail is required for this position with a propensity for troubleshooting and anomaly identification.
- Very good communication and writing skills are important to appropriately interpret production instructions.
- Interaction with customers and internal clients in a professional manner is a key component of the position.
- He/she must possess extensive knowledge of the print and mailing industry, high quality standards, mature judgement, and strong organizational work habits.
- General knowledge of USPS postal regulations and sort categories is required.
- Must have background using mail list data processing & variable letter setup software or similar products (Such as Plant Press, HP Smart Stream, Satori, BCC, SAP, Quadient (GMC) Inspire, XMPie, MindFire, FreeFlow Core, Windowbook, Monticello and PostalOne!).
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED plus 3-5 years’ industry specific experience

Work Environment
This job generally operates in a professional office environment but may frequently need to work with employees in a production environment where he/she may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration and moderate to loud noise level. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and smartphones.

This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required dependent upon business necessity.
