Summary/Objective
The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs light custodial duties cleaning and maintaining assigned areas. Incidental other light maintenance work may be assigned as necessary. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by requirements and business needs.
Essential Functions
- Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including complying with OSHA, state/local, federal, and company regulations
- Maintains a clean and orderly environment
- Properly cleans and maintains multiple areas as assigned
- Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
- Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
- Frequently removes dusts and debris from high and low surfaces
- Completes any daily paperwork required
- Drives truck over established route to deliver products or render services
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
- Cleaning the restrooms, removing garbage, sweeping, mopping and dusting
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
- Ability to keep assigned areas clean and orderly.
- Ability to interact with staff, tenants and visitors while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may have prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, reach and occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required dependent upon business necessity.
Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a background check
