Graphics 22 Signs, Inc., a full service Architectural Sign provider serving the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas is seeking qualified candidates to join our installation team.
Job Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of various signage products and, ensuring that all installations are completed accurately and efficiently at the direction of the Lead Installer and Project Manager. This role requires attention to detail, some technical knowledge, critical thinking and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A significant portion of the work preformed in this position will be paid at Prevailing Wage rates which are typically well above the regular pay rate.
Duties
- Perform installations of products according to plans, specifications and company standards.
- Utilize hand and power tools and equipment effectively, to ensure proper installation and functionality of various types of signs.
- Conduct thorough inspections of installed products to verify quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the installation process and provide effective solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the installation process.
- Communicate with the Lead Installer and Project Manager regarding installation procedures, timelines, and any necessary adjustments.
- Maintain company provided tools, materials and equipment in good working order
- Package, load and transport materials, tools and equipment to and from job sites.
- Assist shop staff on an as needed basis with in-house tasks.
Skills
- Proficiency in basic hand tools, power tools and other relevant tools for installation tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality installations.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, or schematics.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in accurately using tape measures, spirit levels, laser levels, and other layout tools.
- Ability to safely operate motor vehicles, bucket trucks, scissor lifts/aerial work platform.
- Some knowledge of basic AC and DC electrical is preferred.
- Some construction or related trade experience is preferred.
Requirements
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Current, valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
- current DOT-FMCSA medical Examiner's Certificate OR ability to pass FMCSA medical exam upon hire.
- Ability to pass Criminal Background checks and Child Abuse History Clearances and/or other background clearances as required to work at schools or restricted project sites.
- Ability to regularly lift 25lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100lbs.
- Ability to work safely from elevated positions including ladders, aerial work platforms, scaffolds, etc.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a wide variety of temperatures and conditions.
- Adherence to jobsite safety requirements including regular use of PPE including, but not limited to steel-toe boots, hard hat, protective eyewear, etc.
- Ability and willingness to learn through on the job training.
- Ability to utilize electronic platforms on a tablet computer and/or smartphone such as opening documents, sending and receiving messages, etc.
- Availability to work regularly during our normal operating hours, Monday - Thursday 7:30A - 5:00P and Friday 7:30A - 11:30A and availability to occasionally work outside of our normal operating hours on an as-needed basis.
