GRASP has an opening for the role of a part-time college financial aid advisor to work a Henry County High School during the 24 / 25 school year.
- Advisors are assigned to schools 1 day per week during the school year.
- All training is provided : 2 – 4 days per year in Richmond or virtually. (Training travel expenses are reimbursed.)
- A GRASP Advisor provides individualized advising to students and parents regarding how best to pay for post-secondary education.
- This Advisor would join with all staff in GRASP’s continuous development work in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion - with those efforts directly furthering GRASP’s mission.
- The usual candidate has a heart for helping students, is committed to the community, and understands the confidentiality of student information.
- While helpful, prior expertise in college financial aid is not required as all necessary information is provided in the training program.
- A college degree or relevant certificate is required.
- As this position will work directly with students in public schools, a background check is required.
